Context Menu
Context menu not showing?

- If still not showing, open Preferences → General, uncheck then re-check “Enable Finder Context Menu”

No context menu on the Desktop or Documents folder?
If you have iCloud “Desktop & Documents Folders” sync enabled, these directories are managed by macOS’s File Provider framework, which conflicts with Finder extensions (FinderSync). This is a known macOS limitation that affects all FinderSync-based apps.
Option 1: Enable Override Mode (Recommended)
- Open Preferences → Advanced
- Check “Override System Context Menu” or “Enable Middle-Click Menu”
- Grant Accessibility permission when prompted (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility)
Option 2: Disable iCloud Sync
- Open System Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Drive
- Turn off “Desktop & Documents Folders”
- Once disabled, these directories are no longer managed by File Provider, and the context menu will work normally
Context menu not showing in cloud directories (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox)?
Cloud directories are also managed by the File Provider framework, which conflicts with Finder extensions.
- Open Preferences → Advanced
- Check “Override System Context Menu” or “Enable Middle-Click Menu”
- Grant Accessibility permission when prompted (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility)
